I’ve never really been into Halloween, but having a baby makes me do/say things I never thought I would. I started looking for Lively’s Halloween costume this summer. For a while I was thinking she’d be a sweet strawberry, but then I saw this precious lamb costume on Amazon and had to go with it. I’ve got a short window to dress her up as a farm animal so I figured I’d better baby lamby while I can. 😂
I’m sure you can tell by the photo that “Lively the Lamb” wasn’t so fond of her first Halloween costume! Nevertheless, her tears were pretty adorable and this shot of her is priceless. I have a feeling this will make its way into a slideshow at her graduation party or rehearsal dinner one day. 🙂
My in-laws came over and the five of us sat on our front porch and handed out candy to trick-or-treaters. We only got a handful of kids, but the weather was so nice it was fun sitting outside + we had a blast watching Lively experience all the action. She was smiling, laughing and babbling at everyone that passed by. Since she hated the head piece so much, we compromised and went with the bow while we passed out candy.
Last week, my friend Sophie met us at the Faith Presbyterian Church pumpkin patch to get a few photos of her in her costume. She hated it just as much there as she did last night. She tolerated it ok if I was holding her, but the moment I sat her on the ground to get a shot of her in front of the pumpkins, it was a complete melt down. I felt terrible she was so upset, but couldn’t help but laugh at the same time!
So pitiful, but so sweet!
If you have kids, what were they for their first Halloween? Did they hate their costume as much as Lively did?😂

She is the cutest little lamb I ever did see! 🙂
