Hello from St. Teresa Beach! Everyone in the house is currently napping so I’m enjoying this little slice of quiet time to catch up on some work, fill out my prayer journal for September and finally share another monthly “things I loved” post. I’ve really enjoyed doing these monthly recaps as a way to reflect on things I’ve learned and loved from the previous month, but a lot has happened since April so naturally these took a back seat. I hope to share them monthly again starting with September, but we have a busy fall schedule ahead (I’m starting a new Bible study, Lively and I are starting mommy and me ballet, plus lots of travel) so they may turn into seasonal recaps for now. We’ll see! 🙂
- Being in the garden. It was a bright spot and source of joy all season. Next summer, I’m going to take a leap of faith and try my hand at some of my favorite flowers that may or may not love our intense Florida heat, i.e., peonies, dahlias, poppies. Stay tuned!
- Bounce classes. This is the most fun way to exercise! I was sold after the first class and have been having so much fun every week. If you’re local, you should try a class at The Glo. It’s the the cutest fitness studio with the sweetest group of ladies!
- Sharing my story. It’s scary to be vulnerable but I can’t help but share what God has done in my life.
- This new podcast. I’ve listened to every episode and they’re all amazing.
- This book. It had been years since I read a fiction novel and this was definitely worth it. So good!
- This basket. It’s quite the upgrade from my old laundry basket and I like the way it adds a touch of feminine decor to my closet. Also comes in a hamper size.
- This recipe. My friend Kyla told me about this one and I’m here to tell you you need to make this ASAP!! I leave out the mushrooms because I don’t care for those. Serve it over cauliflower mash. You’re welcome.
- This verse. It brought me so much peace and comfort when we were in Hospice with my father-in-law in June. I recited it over and over and over again when my heart was overwhelmed.
- Friday nights in Thomasville. This unexpectedly turned into our “thing” this summer and I am so glad it did.
- These shoes. They are a dupe for the Chloé Lauren sandal ($595) and were a go-to all summer long. And they’re $29!

I love this! Counting the fruit is the best and it’s fun to hear what you’ve been delighting in! 🙂
