Happy Saturday, friends! Like many of you, I decided to decorate early this year and have had most of our house dressed for Christmas since before Thanksgiving. It just seemed like a good way to boost our spirits and make the upcoming season feel extra special. Classic and feminine was my goal this year – using blush and French blue with lots of bows was what I envisioned and I’m so happy with how it all came together.
This was the first year I embraced all the faux things – faux tree, wreathes, garlands… With a 2.5 year old and a baby on the way, the low maintenance sounded nice. Our wreath and mantle garland is from The Accidental Farmgirl and our tree is this 7.5 ft Frasier Fir. I love that it came pre-lit and that there are no needles to clean up, watering or spritzing to keep up with. Plus, it still looks fresh even after being up for two months. 😉 I think I’m officially team faux from now on!
What a gloriously special + cozy time of year to warm up our homes and quiet our hearts.
