Every year around this time I get a little bummed to live in Florida. New Englanders are already enjoying fall foliage and crisp autumn mornings and we’re still in sandals and sweating like crazy. I read a quote recently (can’t find it now) but it basically said: if all you focus on is the weather it’s hard to notice the season change. But if you look closely, you can see signs of fall all around you – no matter where you live. I loved that and it’s made me pay attention more and appreciate the small and subtle ways fall is showing itself even here in Florida. The white hydrangeas that line my neighbors house are fading to brown, the sky is a bit darker during our after dinner walks, and a new harvest of fall fruits and veggies have begun to pop up at our local farmer’s market. In addition to the sights, sounds and smells of the fall season, it’s also my favorite time of year for fashion and home decor. I love all things cozy and can’t get enough of the warm textures and colors that evoke a sense of comfort and home. I hope you enjoy this round up of all the fall things currently on my radar:
