We’ve had a great summer over here! It’s been filled with camps for Lively, playing in the sprinkler, one too many popsicles and Todd and I even managed to sneak in a quick getaway by ourselves to Palm Beach! But I have to say I’m looking forward to the fresh start of a new school year. Lively is going into pre-K 4 and Cameron will be doing a two’s class a few days a week. I’ve been having so much fun finding them some sweet new clothes to wear and have rounded up some of my favorite sources below:
SMOCKED AUCTIONS
Smocked Auctions is a great source for affordable smocked and monogrammed pieces! Everything is under $40 and made of soft knits and cotton that are perfect for playing. I got this outfit for Cameron and this one for Lively to meet the teacher. And couldn’t resist the matching pj’s!
SMOCKINGBIRD KIDS
I love this handmade clothing line that was started by two moms. They always have the cutest coordinating sibling sets like this crayon seersucker Jon Jon and dress I got for the kiddos.
CECIL & Lou
You can never go wrong with anything from Cecil & Lou! I always get compliments on the kids pieces from here and love that everything is around the $35 price point. Lively wore this bloomer set on the first day of school last year!
THE Yellow lamb
This is the first year Lively will be wearing a school uniform and I was delighted when I stumbled on the cutest styles from The Yellow Lamb. This scalloped blouse and navy jumper are my favorites in the collection. Use can use code MYCAH to take 15% off your order now through August 15.
SHOES
For girls I like Daphne Keds, Cienta Mary Janes, and anything from L’Amour for a dressier shoe. For baby boys I like these classic Keds and I also just got Cameron a pair of these New Balance.
SCHOOL signs
If you need a cute First Day of School sign for the kids to hold, Fernandina Paper Co has so many fun options that you can customize in minutes. There’s also bag tags, labels, placemats, lunch box notes and more.
Backpacks
My kids don’t need backpacks yet, but if they did I would get one from TRVL Design (they’re wipeable) and add a fun applique monogram.
