I’ve been thinking about swapping out the roman shade in our kitchen for a cafe curtain. Originating in 19th century Vienna, cafe curtains hung in country cafes and roadside dining spots. This style of curtain was more practical and less expensive in design and material than traditional long panel curtains. I’m happy to see they are “trending” again because they are certainly charming and I think they give kitchens that lived-in “Nancy Meyers movie” feel. Here’s some photos I’ve saved as inspiration…
