I cannot believe my baby is two! It truly feels like we just brought him home from the hospital last week and his first birthday party was yesterday. The days are long, but oh are the years are way too short! I wish I could freeze him just like he is right now. Cameron is super sweet, silly, curious, helpful and kind. He wants to be close to his mama, likes hitting golf balls with Daddy and is obsessed with his big sister. He also LOVES trucks, especially “fie-duh trucks” which is what inspired the theme for his firetruck second birthday!
Isn’t this invitation darling?! It’s from Erin Wallace Designs and is available in both printed and digital versions. I loved so many of the details (especially the nod to the famous Sister Parish print) which inspired Cameron’s cookies and several other decor elements.
The balloon garland is from Boutique Party Rentals and I can’t recommend them enough if you are local. Jacqueline is so easy to work with and even sends you a mock up of the balloons so you can see how they’ll look in your space. So helpful if you’re a visual person like me! Boutique Party Rentals also have pretty white bounce houses which we used for Lively’s birthday party. We borrowed the ride on firetruck from a friend and Cameron’s bubble is Little English.
The cookies were inspired by the Erin Wallace Designs invitation and were made locally by Cookie Mommas. They were so good! It’s hard to tell in the photo, but the “2” has the blue star print just like the invitation border.
Florals by Lily created the centerpiece which was a beautiful mix of white tulips, ranunculus, roses and hydrangeas – all my favorites! I LOVED the vessel she chose which was a scalloped planter with a pale blue trim. It was the perfect compliment to the red fire trucks and blue gingham decor. The “Happy Birthday Cameron” circle is a linen cake topper from Namesake Celebrations. I had this made for his first birthday and love that it can be used year after year.
I sure do love celebrating this sweet boy! As much as I want to keep him by baby forever it is a beautiful gift watching him grow. I can’t wait to see all that God has in store for him this second year of life!
Thank you to my dear friend Sophie Smith for capturing these sweet memories!
