Our family room has come a long way! A cozy space just off the main kitchen, I wanted it to feel like a “cozy, chic library” that would be both relaxing and inspiring. I drew a lot of inspiration from Beacon Hill Books & Cafe with its cool blues and pops of red. With the help of Mackenzie Page Interiors, we transformed this blank space into the prettiest little jewel box!
DRAPES
The fabric for the drapes is Lee Jofa “Mayfield” which I ordered through Decorator’s Best. They have an amazing selection of designer fabrics, wallpapers, rugs and pillows at great prices. My local fabricator, Hip Chicks Designs, brought the drapes to life.
WALLPAPER & PAINT
The trellis wallpaper is by Colefax & Fowler and the blue paint color is Parma Gray by Farrow & Ball. The bookshelf was designed by Mackenzie and me and custom made by my local cabinet guy.
OTTOMAN
The ottoman is one of my favorite details in the room! This is the Scalloped Large Wicker Ottoman from Mainly Baskets. We used the leftover drape fabric to cover the cushion, but we had it laminated so it could be wiped clean. The ultimate mom luxury!
SWIVEL CHAIRS
I knew I wanted to do something more neutral and cozy for the chairs and couldn’t be happier with our selection of the Charli Swivels from Coley Home. They are beyond comfortable, the shape is stunning and their juxtaposition to the ultra feminine wallpaper and drapes creates the perfect balance in the room.
LIGHTING
My go-to for all things lighting is Pooky Lighting because it’s that perfect blend of English charm meets Southern elegance. In our family room we have the Albafloss Chandelier with Green Stripe Shades, Double Arm Pitcheroo and Smaller Pitcheroo above the bookshelf, and the Walter Cordless Lamp nestled in between stacks of books.
