The time has come to say goodbye to my son’s sweet nursery and welcome a new chapter – a big boy room! Like any well-designed space, I turned to Pinterest for inspiration and was quickly drawn to a timeless Americana vibe. I envisioned a room that feels warm, inviting, and full of classic charm – think red, white, and blue, but refined.
It’s not quite finished yet (I’m still waiting on a few final touches to arrive), but below you’ll find the inspiration behind the design, the key elements that bring the room to life, a sneak peek at how it’s coming together, and a curated list of everything I’ve sourced along the way.

The Plans

I centered all of my design plans around this sweet daybed and plaid wallpaper.

The Daybed
I teamed up with Headboards World to create a custom twin daybed with a trundle, and they truly brought my vision to life. I sent over a soft powder blue Crypton fabric (a dream for families with little ones), and they finished it off with the sweetest white piping. They were such a joy to work with – so thoughtful and responsive every step of the way. I’m completely obsessed with how it turned out!
The Wallpaper
This plaid wallpaper strikes the perfect balance between vintage charm and a fresh, bright feel. It adds just the right amount of texture without overwhelming the space – and the shade of blue couldn’t be more perfect. I’m absolutely in love!
