10 Things I Loved in April

May 1, 2019 · In: Faith, Family, Life

  1. I read this entire book over Easter weekend while we were at the beach, and it has challenged my mind and stirred my heart in a way no other book has. Highly recommend!
  2. I’m obsessed with my new roman shade in my kitchen. I found Angela through Etsy and she was amazing to work with (and she loves the Lord!). Will be doing a full kitchen tour and sharing more soon.
  3. Watching Lively “hunt” Easter eggs for the first time was really sweet. I love how she kept calling them “balls!”. Another cute Lively moment – she’s become attached to two of her stuffed animal bunnies calling them “buh buh’s” and my heart melts.
  4. I love making things look pretty, especially my food, and really enjoyed this article for how to make your recipes look amazing.
  5. Washing my face has become a favorite part of my nighttime routine thanks to this “spa experience in a bottle.”
  6. A good lesson I learned this month was that I need to give my soul more room to breathe. Emily P. Freeman’s podcast, The Next Right Thing, is helping me do that. Bonus: her voice is so soothing!
  7. I love anything with lemons and get so excited when spring/summer rolls around because I’m pretty much guaranteed to find an abundance of cute lemon-themed clothes and home decor items. I just got this adorable dress (planning to wear it for Mother’s Day!) and this bubble for Lively (20% off with code MYCAH20).
  8. The dahlias I planted in our front yard started blooming and they are beautifully breathtaking. God is such an amazing Creator.
  9. This past month, the Lord unexpectedly connected me with a handful of new women who love Him and want to make Him known. I’m excited about these new friendships He is forming and can’t wait to watch them flourish.
  10. Speaking of cultivating deep friendships, did you know Trader Joe’s makes really cute cards that are perfect for sending to friends to say thank you or offer up encouragement? My friend, Kyle, told me about them last month and now I peruse the card section whenever I’m there and grab a few to have on hand at home. I couldn’t resist these “You’re the Sweetest” fruit themed cards!
