A look back at reader favorites, some of my favorite finds, books and podcast listens from 2019!
1. Dudley Stephens Turtleneck – one of my favorite purchases in a long time! See my full review here.
2. Grumpy Mom Takes a Holiday – best book I read this year! See my full review here.
3. Weezie Towels – a reader favorite and for good reason! They’re amazingly fluffy and soft, made of 100% organic cotton and completely free of toxic chemicals. I’m hoping to get their bath robe for my birthday this year. 🙂
4. Serena & Lily Pillows – these pillows completely transformed our neutral guest room and were one of your top reader favorites.
5. Lake Pajamas – I got rid of 99% of my other pajamas after purchasing two pairs of these during their summer sale. Worth it!
6. Primally Pure Cleansing Oil – the best addition to my nighttime skincare routing. This stuff makes me feel like I’m getting a facial every night.
7. Tretorn Sneakers – I’d been looking for a casual sneaker that could be worn with dresses and jeans for a while and these have been perfect. I’ve worn them more than any other shoes this year.
8. Acrylic Wine Glasses – these wine glasses that I included in my mom/mother-in-law gift guide were the most shopped item from this year!
9. Grayson Button Downs – seriously the best button downs I’ve ever worn. I’ve been wearing button downs all my life and consider myself a bit of a connoisseur and the quality and fit of Grayson are unparalleled in my opinion!
10. Katherine Freeman Painting – I swooned over this piece of abstract art for a while and was so excited to add it to my living room this fall. It adds a beautiful pop of pastel color to our neutral living room.
11. NamaMat – the perfect compliment to our kitchen and a game changer for my back! Full review here.
12. Blue and White Floral Laundry Basket – this was one of the most popular items that you guys shopped this year. Cutest laundry basket and can’t beat the price. Also comes in a hamper size.
13. Pink Garden Hose – The best garden hose ever in my opinion! It’s lightweight, doesn’t kink and best of all it’s not an eye sore sitting on the side of my house. It’s adorable!
14. Organic Cotton Bra – best bra ever!!! As I continue to transition to a non-toxic lifestyle, one of the things I wanted to swap this year was my undergarments. Cotton is the dirtiest crop and underwires have been linked to breast cancer. I have always loved Hanky Panky underwear and figured their bras were probably just as good and it has not disappointed. I wear this bra ever single day and will be adding more colors this next year. PS – this is great if you are small chested like me. It’s more of a bralette with padding to give you some shape.
15. Jennie Allen’s Podcast – hands down best new podcast of 2019! I listened to every episode and they’re all amazing, convicting and encouraging.
16. Cuyana Tote – this might be the question I got the most this year. Is your purse the Cuyana tote? Yes! It’s the Classic Structured Leather Tote. I have quite the love for this bag and brand and will be doing a whole blog post on it soon.
17. Alisa Dress – the photo below in this dress was my most liked photo from this year (and ever). This Gal Meets Glam dress is my favorite dress from the collection and probably my favorite dress of all time.
18. Monika Hibbs Presets – I’m frequently asked about the editing used for my blog and Instagram photos. They’re a mix of professional photos by the amazingly talented, Red Fly Studio, and my iPhoneX. This year I purchased Monika Hibb’s photo editing presets for Lightroom and they have made editing my iPhone photos so much easier – and prettier! (see before and after below!)

I didn’t know I needed a pink garden hose until this exact moment but now I can’t believe I’ve gone my whole life without one!

My Cuyana tote (I have the same one as you) is a favorite. I received the insert for Christmas and I regret not getting it sooner. I’m eyeing a sweater of theirs. That laundry basket is beautiful and would be lovely in a room to throw blankets or as part of a bridal/baby shower gift to hold the other presents. Thanks for all of your work to find these items. Definitely picking up the basket and going to look into Monika Hibbs Presets. Thanks again and Happy New Year!

You will really enjoy the basket! It’s so cute. I have no doubt the Cuyana insert is an excellent investment alongside the bag. My mother-in-law found something similar on Etsy https://www.etsy.com/listing/732766033/neverfull-pm-mm-gm-compatible-pink-felt and I think I might be getting it as a birthday gift next month. 🙂 We will have to compare the two!
